Mainly engaged in scientific research and teaching in three professional directions: [1] Environmental Engineering and Environmental Science, including research on three wastes treatment and resource utilization technology (waste water, waste gas, solid waste treatment technology research), environmental risk assessment and control technology, environmental impact assessment and pollutant discharge permit technology, manufacture and application of environment friendly new materials, new technology of environmental monitoring , petrochemical enterprises energy conservation assessment and optimization techniques. [2] Safety Engineering and Technology, including research on new safety assessment technology, safety engineering information technology, safety interlocking instrument (SIS) technology, chemical process safety technology, hazardous chemical emergency response and control technology, chemical industry park safety planning and risk control technology, inherently safety assessment and improvement technology. ◎Research Project | ||||||
As a professor and postgraduate tutor of the three majors of Environmental Science and Technology, Safety Engineering and Technology, and Chemical Engineering (Chemical Process safety Technology), Professor Zhao has vigorously promoted the integration and development of the three disciplines in teaching and scientific research over the years, and built a distinctive safety and environment discipline group. As the principal, Professor Zhao has completed the Twelfth Five-Year Plan Characteristic Key Discipline of Shandong Province and the City and University Co-construction Project of Key Discipline of Undergraduate Universities in Qingdao , successfully hosted more than 10 Global Process Safety conferences at home and abroad, enhanced the popularity of the discipline and the university in related fields. Commitment to research fields of environmental pollution control and recycling, chemical process safety and etc. For a long time, there are more than 90 national, provincial and ministerial projects and 7 overseas projects finished or being worked on by Professor Zhao as the first person in charge. What’s more, he has presided over and participated in a number of national and provincial key research projects and won 17 provincial and ministerial awards. | ||||||
