主讲人介绍：

      田玉楚教授，澳大利亚昆士兰科技大学（QUT）计算机科学学院教授。2009年获悉尼大学计算机与软件工程专业哲学博士学位，1993年获浙江大学工学博士学位。曾在中国大陆、中国香港、美国和澳大利亚的多所大学工作；自2002年起至今任职于昆士兰科技大学计算机科学学院，先后任讲师、高级讲师、副教授、网络与通信系主任，教授。迄今已发表专著2部及科研论文300余篇。研究兴趣包括大数据计算、云计算、计算机网络、智能电网通信与控制、网络化控制系统、优化及机器学习、以及信息物理安全。担任 Springer实时计算手册（Handbook of Real-Time Computing）主编.

报告简介：

      Many problems in complex systems can be investigated from the optimization perspective. However, in practical applications, it is often difficult to formulate and solve large-scale optimization problems. Heuristics and other methods from artificial intelligence and computing theory become necessary to deal with such problems. Considering a few practical systems, this talk discusses our advances in large-scale optimization with practical applications through the development of various heuristics and computing techniques. Case studies are presented for demonstration.
